Experienced Physical Therapist Location: Pompano Beach, FL
Position: Full-Time Physical Therapist
Salary: $85K-$90K/year, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Caseload: Approximately 1-2 patients per hour
Setting: Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapy Office
About the PositionWe are seeking an experienced
outpatient Physical Therapist who is comfortable making independent clinical decisions throughout a patient's course of care.
The work begins with determining why a patient is having difficulty moving or functioning. From there, you will identify the impairments that should be addressed first, select appropriate treatment strategies, and evaluate how the patient responds over time.
As the patient's condition changes, you will decide when to advance exercises, introduce new functional activities, modify the plan, or prepare the individual for discharge.
Responsibilities- Gather objective measurements during patient examinations
- Interpret findings to determine primary rehabilitation needs
- Establish a clear direction for the course of physical therapy
- Provide progressive orthopedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation
- Address deficits involving strength, mobility, flexibility, and movement control
- Use therapeutic activities that reflect each patient's functional goals
- Determine whether treatment is producing measurable improvement
- Revise the plan of care when patient needs or progress change
- Prepare patients to independently continue appropriate exercises
- Complete timely clinical documentation throughout treatment
Requirements- Active Physical Therapist (PT) License
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or MSPT Degree
- Outpatient physical therapy experience required
- Knowledge of orthopedic evaluation and treatment principles
- Ability to independently manage a patient caseload
