Your Role as a Home Care Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with VRNS, you'll provide skilled physical therapy services directly in patients' homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You'll work closely with patients, caregivers, and their care teams to improve mobility, strength, functional independence, and quality of life. Your responsibilities may include:
  • Providing skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist
  • Providing transfer training and instruction in safe mobility techniques
  • Educating patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies, and safety techniques
  • Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Collaborating with Physical Therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, physicians, and other members of the care team
  • Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation
