JOB SUMMARY:
The Physical Security Program Leader is responsible for coordinating a major segment of the bank security program in accordance with Physical Security standards. May manage life safety, guard management, compliance adherence, project management, or technology. Oversight of a program includes establishing policies and standards, training impacted teammates, implementing the program and verifying and tracking compliance of the program requirements.

Location:Please note that candidate must be located in one of the following locations:

  • Charlotte, NC

  • Atlanta, GA

Truist 'in office' requirement is 5 days per week. No full remote or relocation assistance available at this time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Act as subject matter expert and take ownership for assigned program(s).
2. Apply knowledge and industry best practices to develop program(s) and continually analyze processes and implement improvements.
3. Coordinate strategic relationships with vendor partners to achieve contractual obligations and ensure high level of client satisfaction.
4. Ability to manage and report on project costs, vendor invoices and capital asset expenditures related to the program.
5. Coordinate collaborative meetings with key project stakeholders to ensure ongoing progress towards targeted objectives while promoting active dialog and team cohesion.
6. Document program(s) objectives in detail, map out end-to-end processes, and create presentations used to communicate the program(s) status to leadership.
7. Compile statistical information in a reporting format and present at all levels of the organization.
8. Represent Corporate Security in a professional manner while developing partnerships with internal teammates.
9. May have a decision making role with security technology, vendor selection, or contractual terms.
10. May have responsibility to oversee direct-reports and / or contractors.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or equivalent education and related training required.
2. Five years' experience in bank operations, security program management or similar field.
3. Ability to manage complex processes and competing priorities with minimal supervision.
4. Leadership experience including implementation of best practices, planning and management of projects, and ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information.
5. Strong leadership skills and ability to consult with clients.
6. Strong verbal/written communication ability to communicate complex information in a succinct manner.
7. Demonstrated ability to learn multiple software applications and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office software products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification in the security industry such as ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or similar credential.

  • Experience with physical access control, badging, and visitor management programs.

  • Experience leading security technology implementations, upgrades, or platform migrations.

  • Experience supporting audit, controls, compliance, and governance requirements.

  • Experience managing security vendors and third-party service providers.

  • Experience supporting security programs in a *large, complex corporate environment
