Full Job Description
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a physiatrist, you will round at 2 Skilled Nursing Facilities, 1 facility located in Chico CA on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 1 facility located in Redding on Tuesdays and Thursdays (current schedule, days of the week subject to change). Your primary focus will be delivering specialized physiatry care to 27+ patients per day who are experiencing difficulty participating in therapy due to pain or functional limitations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing focused assessments and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with facility primary care teams to optimize therapy participation and functional recovery.
  • Providing targeted interventions such as joint injections, Botox treatments, dry needling, and medication management based on patient-specific needs.
  • Serving as the sole physiatrist on-site, operating with a high level of autonomy while supported by a collaborative clinical team for consultation as needed.
  • Coordinating care and referring to other specialties or services for issues beyond the scope of physiatry.
