The Pharmacy Engineer 2 oversees logistics, fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, motors and systems The Pharmacy Engineer 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
The Pharmacy Controls Engineer 2 ensures maintenance and continuous improvement of quality and industry standards, work with Industrial automation equipment and Technology to contribute at cost effectiveness and efficiency, oversees and implements prescription drug distribution equipment, in an Automated warehouse fulfillment center, (Mail Order Pharmacy) and capture design modifications to eliminate malfunctions, reduce cost-to-fill, increase throughput and improve quality, performs and leads tests of related software and equipment to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects, and devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Position Information:
- This Position is located in Westchester, OH.
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, might need work over weekends based on certain planned events.
- This is mostly an On-site Role, with some opportunities and flexibility for Hybrid work / Home office.
- Not much travel Required, up to 10 to15%.

Use your skills to make an impact Requirements:
- A four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field recommended at a minimum along with 2+ years of practical hands-on experience.
- This position will require knowledge and expertise to design equipment capable of conveying products and packages throughout the production line, using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
- This work will also require the ability to analyze and mathematically calculate loading forces and specify appropriate building materials to endure within the production environment for minimum of 5 to 10 years longevity.
- Working knowledge of finite analysis methods to model, evaluate, and interpret engineering or system behavior for design, troubleshooting, and decision-making.
- When necessary, this candidate will be required to review product specifications and operational documentation from outside vendors to give approval for construction or make recommendations for changes to meet our internal standards.
- Knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations to ensure designs, construction, and operations meet safety, legal, and quality standards.
- Project execution/management experience.
- Proficient documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience on automated warehouse Conveyor or sortation systems.
- Experience on package handling equipment.
- Advanced 2D Computer-Aided Drafting and 3D modeling.
- Experience with integrated electrical controls for equipment automation.
- Lean Six sigma training or certification.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$86,300 - $118,700 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
