The Pharmacy Contracting Executive is responsible for all aspects of contracting for services offered by CenterWell Pharmacy or Humana Pharmacy Solutions, serving employer groups, health systems and pharmacy benefit managers. This role encompasses pricing strategy, contract development, negotiation, evaluation, implementation, and ongoing contract maintenance.

The Pharmacy Contracting Executive will collaborate closely with pharmacy operations, business development and manufacturer relations teams to address and resolve complex issues. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail , and the ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, negotiation, and execution of pharmacy service contracts with employer groups, health systems, and PBMs.
  • Conduct contract evaluations and ensure successful implementation and maintenance of contractual agreements.
  • Develop pricing strategies and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Analyze and interpret financial and operational data to inform decision-making and contract performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with pharmacy operations, business development, and manufacturer relations to address contract-related challenges.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and contract terms to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate contract documentation and support audit processes as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in pharmacy, health plan, or PBM contracting and pricing, including contract development, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen with experience analyzing and interpreting complex data sets.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Ability to provide clear direction and make informed business decisions
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in a related field
  • Paralegal certification or relevant legal experience

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$86,300 - $118,700 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
