Full Job Description
Provides pharmaceutical care services to the patients of Parkview Health. Services include, but are not limited to, oversight, monitoring, preparation, dispensing, and proper documentation of patient medication therapy, as well as advising physicians on matters pertaining to drug usage and control within assigned hospital and outpatient locations and providing drug information, patient information, and oversight of information and dispensing processes and systems. Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations as well as compliance with regulatory agencies affecting the Pharmacy.

Education: Minimum of a B. S. degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy. A Pharm. D. degree and/or PGY1Residency preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Must be eligible for or hold a valid and current license as a Registered Pharmacist from the State Board of Pharmacy where services will be provided. If eligible, must obtain this State licensure within 180 days. Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.

Experience: One to two years hospital pharmacist experience preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
