Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and supervise all pharmaceutical services
  • Oversee compliance with Federal and State pharmaceutical laws
  • Ensure patient safety and control inventory
  • Provide reports and maintain pharmacy licenses and permits
  • Implement best practices regarding pharmacy management

Full Job Description
  • Experience with 340B program operations in accordance with HRSA requirements
  • Ensure compliance with 340B regulations including eligibility verification, diversion prevention, duplicate discount prevention, and audit readiness
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, including HRSA and manufacturer audits
  • Oversee contract pharmacy compliance and performance monitoring
  • Maintain policies, procedures, and documentation aligned with current regulatory guidance


Primary work location in Pinellas county. Occasional travel to other clinic sites located in nearby counties may be required, for which mileage reimbursement is offered. Rotational on-call requirements.

SCHEDULE: Full-time 40 hour 5 day weekdays.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with a degree in Pharmacy
  • Active Consultant Pharmacist License
  • One-year minimum experience as a consultant pharmacist. Addiction and/or mental health experience preferred.


KNOWLEDGE:
  • Knowledge of State and Federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of cost-effective measures in inventory control
  • Knowledge of best practices in substance abuse and mental health pharmaceutical uses
  • Knowledge of pharmacology to include the initiation, selection and the modification of selected drug regimen
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective positive, productive working relationships with other employees and individuals
  • Ability to respond in a courteous, pleasant manner and provide in-service education
  • Ability to develop quality standards and reports and the ability to function independently


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid driver's license or state identification card required.
  • Active Consultant Pharmacist License.
  • Must pass a level II background check (https://info.flclearinghouse.com) and drug screen.
