DescriptionThe Pharmacist assists the Chief Pharmacy Officer in assuring the availability, quality, continuity, and appropriateness of pharmacy services. They prepare, and dispense prescriptions and pharmacy-related products, answer patient questions, participate in patient assistance and other quality assurance programs.
Requirements- Bachelor's or advanced degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Licensed as a registered pharmacist with an unrestricted license in the state Virginia is required.
- Must be immunization certified.
- Prior pharmacy experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Must complete and maintain all recertification requirements for continued licensure and certification, and retain updated copies as applicable.
- Must maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for all life cycles.
- Must demonstrate excellent internal and external customer service skills.
- Certification as an Interpreter is preferred and ability to provide bilingual patient care is a plus.
