**Critical Care Experience Required** This position serves as a clinical pharmacist specializing in the care of critically ill and trauma patients within the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) and Trauma Intermediate Care Unit (TICU). The pharmacist works closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes across the continuum of critical and acute care. A primary responsibility of this role is active participation in daily multidisciplinary rounds at Ohio’s busiest Level I Trauma Center, providing evidence-based pharmacotherapy recommendations for complex surgical, trauma, and critically ill patient populations. The pharmacist is responsible for medication therapy management, antimicrobial stewardship, therapeutic drug monitoring, medication safety initiatives, and ensuring adherence to best practices and clinical guidelines. The position offers numerous opportunities for professional growth and leadership through involvement in quality improvement, research, medication-use evaluations, and interdisciplinary initiatives aimed at advancing patient care. The pharmacist is also expected to support the educational mission of the department through the precepting and mentoring of pharmacy students, PGY1 pharmacy residents, and PGY2 Emergency Medicine pharmacy residents. Clinical pharmacists at Grant Medical Center work in a progressive practice model where all pharmacists rotate through central pharmacy and 2-3 clinical areas.  Pharmacy services are well integrated into the interdisciplinary teams across the campus and organization. Pharmacists in this position work a mix of day and evening shifts with every fourth weekend rotation and 2 major holidays per year commitment. This position is responsible for dispensing and compounding medication, counseling patients on medication and health subjects; interpreting prescriptions, managing patient drug therapy for complications, and performing drug utilization. This role collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other health-care practitioners to provide safe, high quality, and cost-effective drug therapy.
