ECC Pharmacy Cancer Center Compensation range: $74.97 - $101.21 Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience Shift: Days Shift length: 10 Hours Days off: Fixed If fixed, days off: Saturday & Sunday Hours per pay period: 80 POSITION SUMMARY: The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for providing the clinical judgment, professional knowledge, and distribution skills in the Pharmacy Department to assure that patients receive pharmaceutical care which is consistent with the mission of the department and the hospital. The Staff Pharmacist identifies, resolves, and prevents drug-related problems. These activities are performed within the context of established policies, procedures and techniques of Enloe Medical Center, the Enloe Medical Center Pharmacy, and federal and state standards and regulations. The Staff Pharmacist supports and contributes to the service excellence mission of Enloe Medical Center and the Pharmacy Department. EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: Minimum: One-year inpatient hospital or infusion center experience Six months experience sterile compounding Desired: One year of hospital experience in an inpatient, decentralized setting Computer experience with pharmacy programs and Microsoft Office Demonstrated application of drug knowledge and clinical judgment Experience with infusion/chemotherapy One-year experience sterile compounding Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy LICENSE / CERTIFICATION: Minimum: Current license as a Registered Pharmacist in good standing by the State of California SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Ability to work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergency requests. Ability to exercise sound professional judgment. Knowledge of CII Safe/PYXIS operations.
