Full Job Description

The Work:

Accenture is seeking a Consultant to drive hands-on execution across Life Sciences Warehouse and Transportation Management transformation programs within our Supply Chain & Engineering practice. We work with pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and specialty distributor clients to modernize warehousing and logistics operations — combining regulated-industry delivery expertise with AI-powered automation and intelligent transportation management.  The role provides the execution depth needed across multi-workstream fulfillment programs, supporting the implementation of warehouse management and transportation solutions across both pharma and medical device client engagements. This role requires hands-on delivery depth across both warehouse and transportation management systems — candidates must bring meaningful experience in each.

Key Responsibilities:

At a Consultant level, key responsibilities could include:

  • Support the delivery of warehouse management and transportation management system implementations across life sciences clients — managing project workstreams, coordinating with system integrators and client teams, and driving execution across platforms including SAP EWM/TM, Manhattan WMS/TM, Blue Yonder WMS/TM, and others in GxP-regulated environments.

  • Support validation activities and audit trail documentation requirements consistent with life sciences quality standards — working across pharma and medical device regulatory frameworks to ensure system implementations meet applicable GxP, GDP, and quality management obligations.

  • Lead design and implementation of TMS solutions for cold chain carrier management, lane optimization, and temperature excursion alerting across pharma and device distribution networks.

  • Support the integration of warehouse and transportation management platforms within a broader enterprise architecture — connecting WMS/TMS solutions with ERP, quality management, and supply chain visibility systems to enable end-to-end operational execution.

  • Apply AI and automation capabilities to warehouse and transportation operations — including intelligent slotting, AI-driven exception management, robotics integration readiness, and predictive quality alerts.

  • Design order fulfillment processes for life sciences commercial, hospital, and IDN channels — including pick/pack/ship workflows, returns management, recall execution, and consignment or loaner inventory flows.

  • Contribute to the development of reusable delivery assets, validated configuration templates, and warehouse design accelerators for the Life Sciences Fulfillment practice.

  • Engage deeply in project delivery with hands-on work, leading work products and supporting senior team members across active engagements.

Travel Requirements:

Travel is required for this role and could vary up to 75%

Here’s what you need:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience delivering both warehouse management and transportation management system implementations in pharmaceutical, medical device, or broader life sciences environments — candidates with experience in only one discipline will not be considered.

  • Demonstrated platform fluency across both WMS and TMS — including hands-on project delivery with SAP EWM/TM, Manhattan WMS/TM, or Blue Yonder WMS/TM. Familiarity with one side of the stack alone is not sufficient.

  • Minimum 3 years of TMS delivery experience specific to life sciences distribution — including cold chain carrier management, regulated product routing, lane optimization, and temperature excursion alerting across pharma or device networks.

  • Experience integrating WMS and TMS platforms within a broader enterprise architecture — connecting to ERP, quality management, and supply chain visibility systems to enable end-to-end operational execution.

Bonus Points If:

  • Working knowledge of life sciences validation concepts and quality documentation requirements — including GxP, GDP, and applicable pharma or medical device quality management standards as they apply to system implementations.

  • Working knowledge of order fulfillment process design — pick/pack/ship, returns, and recall workflows in regulated life sciences environments.

  • Curiosity and growing fluency in AI, automation, and digital capabilities as applied to warehouse operations and logistics management.

  • Strong delivery orientation — ability to execute independently, manage work products, and communicate clearly with client and project teams.

  • Experience across both pharma and medical device distribution environments, or familiarity with the distinct fulfillment and quality requirements of each.

  • Exposure to robotics, AMRs, or warehouse automation technologies in life sciences distribution.

  • Familiarity with product traceability workflows — serialization, lot genealogy, or device traceability — integrated within WMS or TMS environments.
