About the Role

As Petroleum Construction Supervisor, you are the operational backbone of our field execution in DFW. You own the full lifecycle of construction projects, from pre-job planning through punch-list, while leading, developing, and retaining a high-performing field crew. You will partner closely with Project Managers and lead construction crews to keep jobs on schedule, on budget, and built to OWL standards.

What You'll Own

Field Leadership & Oversight (Primary Focus)

  • Provide direct, day-to-day supervision of all field personnel across active construction projects.
  • Lead problem solving and project decision-making in the field and in the office - you are the first call when challenges arise.
  • Select, onboard, coach, and retain skilled tradespeople; conduct performance reviews and make compensation and personnel recommendations.
  • Drive active participation in our UST A & B licensing program - helping your team grow their credentials and their careers.


Project Planning & Execution

  • Conduct thorough pre-job reviews with project installers and Project Managers before every construction start.
  • Assist Project Managers in scheduling, sequencing, and coordinating across concurrent projects.
  • Partner with Distribution and Project Managers to manage materials and supplies - ensuring critical items are ordered, on-site, and accounted for.


Financial Accountability

  • Monitor project-level expenses against budget; identify variances early and drive corrective action.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to actively manage material and labor costs throughout each project lifecycle.


Safety & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion a culture of safety - assist in developing safety policies, audit field adherence, and hold the team accountable to OWL standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve construction procedures to maximize efficiency, quality, and safety.

Working Conditions

This role combines field presence with office-based project coordination. Field work involves exposure to the typical construction environment - equipment, noise, temperature variation, and the physical demands of an active job site. Candidates must be able to perform tasks requiring up to 100 lbs. of occasional force and 50 lbs. of frequent force, including climbing, lifting, standing, and other physical activities standard to construction supervision.
