Full Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Personnel Security Specialist to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO.

The Personnel Security Specialist (PSS)-I will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support the Sponsor's system accreditation efforts, to include creating Body of Evidence (BOE) documentation, responding to/implementing/documenting required controls, and completing required tasks/actions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain various daily logs, personnel security files, and extensive customer database POC listings for administrative and PERSEC functions.
  • Perform data entry to the Joint Access Database and maintain all customer-sponsored billets, tracking spreadsheets, and quota information.
  • Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities with government personnel to achieve appropriate clearance actions, while enforcing the customer's Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prepare, process, and review Program Access Requests (PARs) and Special Access Program Nomination Process Questionnaires for accuracy.
  • Conduct candidate reviews utilizing the Defense Central Index of Investigations (DCII), Joint Personnel Access System (JPAS/DISS), and SAPNP systems, while supporting security awareness and education programs.
  • Experience navigating the Sponsor's accreditation process and ICD 503 requirements, especially as it relates to creating A&A Body of Evidence (BOE) documentation.
  • Experience inventorying complex networks and managing network documentation (security compliance, configuration management, patching, centralized authentication, removable media, etc.).


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 3+ years related experience including 2 years relevant SCI or SAP.
  • Must complete JPAS/DISS, Joint Access Database Environment (JADE), and DoD SAPCO-approved SAPNP training within 6 months of the date of hire.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1+ year of SAP-related experience highly desired.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP certification).
  • Experience with the Sponsor's primary cyber risk and compliance automation tools.


Clearance Requirements:
  • An active TS/SCI


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.


The projected compensation range for this position is $68,600.00-$114,100.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
