Full Job Description
Position Overview:

MPC has an opportunity for a highly analytical and results-driven Performance Measurement Analyst within Middle Office to support performance management across the end-to-end value chain. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing and executing the calculation, validation, and analysis of operational P&Ls across the value chain. This role ensures that performance measurements are accurately captured and attributed across the fuels value chain. This role supports Fuels Value Chain leaders and partner closely with stakeholders across the enterprise to deliver actionable insights that improve business performance. This position will also support reconciliation and bridging of Operational P&L to GAAP financial results. Middle Office is new to MPC and this is an opportunity to help shape the Middle Office relationships and process improvements. This position is open to Findlay, OH.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculation of Operational P&L across the fuels value chain
  • Standardize calculations across the fuels value chain and product groups
  • Analyze and building Operational P&L to identify key drivers and provide detailed breakdowns of performance to support value chain understanding and decision making
  • Perform reconciliations and data validations across systems and investigate and resolve discrepancies impacting P&L outputs
  • Support Operational P&L bridging to GAAP
  • Partner with Commercial, VCO, Trading, Scheduling, Refining, and Finance teams to ensure cross-functional collaboration and accurate representation of activities.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required. Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience required.
  • Preferred System Experience: Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Risk Data Warehouse
  • Prefer prior experience in finance, commercial, risk oversight, IT and/or refining. Renewables experience is a plus.
