How You'll Make an Impact

As a People Systems Analyst, you will be a key player in optimizing and scaling our Workday ecosystem. You will serve as a functional contributor to our core operations, bringing a strong configuration focus to at least one (or more) of our core operational modules: Payroll, Time Tracking, or Time Off & Absence, while maintaining a solid foundational knowledge of the broader HCM suite. You will partner closely with Cross-Functional teams-including IT, Finance, and People Operations-to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, ensuring data integrity and seamless system performance.

What You'll Do
  • System Configuration & Optimization: Act as a functional administrator supporting Workday configuration, with a specific focus on one or more of the following modules: Payroll, Time Tracking, or Time Off & Absence, while collaborating on core HCM, Benefits, Talent, and Advanced Compensation.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Design, build, and maintain custom Workday reports and complex calculated fields to deliver actionable data insights to stakeholders.
  • Data & Mass Loads: Own data integrity by managing mass data updates, tenant configuration changes, and business process improvements using Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Finance, Payroll, IT, and internal People teams to troubleshoot issues, gather requirements, and deploy system enhancements.
  • Release & Regression Testing: Assist in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of Workday's bi-annual releases, new features, and ongoing system patches.
  • Support & Collaboration: Provide day-to-day tier-2 support for system bugs, configuration updates, and end-user training, working alongside internal HRIS team members to balance configuration responsibilities.
What You'll Bring
  • Workday Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on Workday administration experience, with a strong functional understanding of at least one of our key focus areas: Payroll, Time Tracking, or Time Off and Absence.
  • Broad HCM Knowledge: Strong general knowledge of Core HCM, Benefits, Talent & Performance, and Advanced Compensation business processes.
  • Technical Toolkit: Proven experience building custom Workday reports, utilizing advanced calculated fields, and independently executing data loads via EIBs.
  • Analytical Mindset: Exceptional problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail and a passion for data integrity.
  • Strong Communicator: Ability to translate complex technical jargon into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders across Finance and HR.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Exposure to or foundational knowledge of Workday Studio, Integrations, or Workday Extend.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth technology or manufacturing environment.

Compensation: At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000*.
