About you and this role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a People Relations Manager located in Seadrift, Texas! In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to site leadership and employees. You will partner with leaders to anticipate workforce needs, navigate complex employee relations matters, and deliver talent, culture, and organizational initiatives aligned with business objectives.

The successful candidate combines strong business acumen, HR expertise, and leadership influence to lead change, mitigate risk, and drive positive outcomes in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR partner to site leadership, providing counsel on workforce, talent, organizational effectiveness, and employee relations matters.
  • Lead complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.
  • Coach and influence leaders on performance management, talent development, workforce planning, and organizational change.
  • Partner with Strategic Advisory and HR Operations to deliver integrated, high-impact people solutions.
  • Lead site and business initiatives, including culture transformation and employee engagement efforts.
  • Serve as a trusted resource on complex people matters.


Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Previous HR experience.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.


Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree discipline in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Labor Relations, or other related field.
  • Knowledge of U.S. employment and labor laws.
  • Client facing experience.
  • Previous labor relations experience.
  • Prior Workday experience.


Skills

  • Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze data and situations, make recommendations, and assist with implementation.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to build solid relationships with clients through expertise and consultation.
  • Interpersonal Communication: Excellent interpersonal effectiveness skills, including but not limited to effective two-way communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Employee Relations: Ability to provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
  • Change Management: Ability to partner with leaders and employees through organizational changes by facilitating communication, managing resistance, and supporting successful adoption of new processes and initiatives.
