Position summaryAs a People Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting core employee lifecycle processes, maintaining high-quality people data, responding to employee and manager questions, and helping deliver a smooth day-to-day employee experience. This role entails a strong emphasis on accuracy, responsiveness, follow-through, and comfort working in systems and processes. Key responsibilities - Conduct new employee orientation, including onboarding activities such as new hire preparation, first-day logistics, I-9 and E-Verify coordination, and swag distribution. Serve as the backup facilitator for benefits orientation.
- Perform Workday transactions and data entry, including promotions, terminations, worker moves, new job requisitions, contractor entry, monthly cell phone allowance updates, new hire approvals, and job requisition updates. Review integration notifications for errors.
- Administer leave-of-absence processes, including employee meetings, Workday leave updates, tracking Prudential notifications, managing wage forms, related documentation, and keeping business partners informed.
- Manage recurring People Operations administration such as weekly benefits event status reporting, monthly cell phone reimbursement maintenance, and COBRA subsidy entry for terminations.
- Maintain People Operations content in the Notion knowledge base.
- Monitor and respond to employee inquiries to the People Ops inbox and Slack inquiries.
- Serve as a primary contact for commuter benefit questions, provide new hire support related to commuter programs, approve monthly parking changes, and complete monthly spend category audits.
- Review, reconcile, and support approval of monthly benefits invoices, including auditing headcount and enrollment against billing and coordinating BCBS and Prudential bill review and approval.
- Support operational projects, such as I-9-related work and Workday offboarding documentation updates.
- Administer the recognition platform, including routine platform maintenance, user support, issue escalation, process documentation, and coordination with internal stakeholders and the vendor.
- Identify data issues, process gaps, and opportunities to improve efficiency, while escalating more complex policy or systems issues appropriately.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: - 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in People Operations, HR Operations, HR coordination, or a similar role; leave administration experience preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Curiosity and willingness to ask questions and learn new systems and processes
- Experience working in HR systems required; Workday experience is helpful but not required
- Comfort embracing technology, particularly in leveraging digital tools and platforms to enhance People and Culture initiatives, improve efficiency, and drive better employee experiences.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines; a high tolerance for ambiguity and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly scaling environment.

Compensation: The base salary range provided reflects our current estimate of what we anticipate paying for this position. Your actual base salary will be based on several factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, relevant education or training, and market dynamics. In addition, you will be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and a competitive benefits package.
