They didn't want to wait days for an appointment. They didn't want to go to urgent care and see someone who doesn't know kids.

What This Role Looks Like:You'll provide a mix of:
- Well child visits (scheduled, protected time)
- Same-day sick visits (because kids don't get sick on a schedule)
Some families will choose to see you consistently. Others will walk in needing help right now. Both matter here. This is not a traditional panel-based role, but it still allows for real relationships with families who come back to you.
Responsibilities:- Perform well child visits and preventative care, including newborn through adolescent exams and immunizations.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat common pediatric illnesses, injuries, and acute conditions.
- Manage a mix of scheduled and walk-in patients, ensuring efficient and high-quality care for both.
- Perform minor procedures such as laceration repair, abscess drainage, and splinting as needed.
- Order and interpret basic labs on-site.
- Educate families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and aftercare.
- Work closely with a highly trained MA team to maintain smooth patient flow.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and leadership to ensure an optimal patient and family experience.
Qualifications:- Board Certified (or Board Eligible) in Pediatrics.
- Active Virginia medical license (or eligibility).
- Pediatric primary care, urgent care, or outpatient experience preferred.
- Comfortable performing common in-office procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a culturally aware, family-centered approach to care.
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) is a plus.
