Responsibilities:
The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. The Level II Registered Nurse contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. The Level II Registered Nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
Full-Time Position Available (36hrs): 9hr days M-F
An exciting nursing position is available in the Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology offering the opportunity to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to clinical excellence and family centered care. In this multifaceted role, you will provide expert nursing care in the Acute Care Clinic, including management of oncology and hematology patients requiring blood product administration, chemotherapy, evaluation and treatment of fever and neutropenia, and management of pain crisis. Responsibilities also include comprehensive telephone triage and care management, patient and family education, and participation in quality improvement, workflow optimization, and research initiatives.
This position also partners closely with the Pediatric Infusion Center. Previous pediatric experience, including chemotherapy administration, strongly preferred.
