Description Urgently Hiring: RN's for one-to-one care of a child at home and school in Montrose, NYSunshine Homecare Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated RN's to provide one-on-one nursing care to a medically fragile child with complex health care needs full-time Monday- Sunday 7:00am- 3:00pm and 3:00pm-11:00pm. Special skills needed: Straight Cath, hoyer lift, seizure experience, gastrostomy tube, cough assist.
Position Details- Schedule: Mon-Sun 7:00am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00pm

- Rate: $50.00
Essential Job Duties- Provide direct nursing care to child at school and home
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and document the child's health status throughout the evening
- Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
- Assist with medical devices such as feeding tubes, tracheostomies, oxygen, nebulizer and catheters as needed
- Collaborate with family, and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with the care plan developed by the RN Case Manager and physician
- Document care and communicate updates with Sunshine Homecare Services and RN case manager.
- Use appropriate infection control procedures and safety measures.
- Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current NY State RN license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience preferred
- Experience in school or community health nursing is a plus
- Must have or willing to get NPI
- Family prefers male nurse
Certifications/Licenses- Valid Nursing Degree/Diploma
- Active New York State RN License
- Current CPR Certification
Skills & Abilities- Strong pediatric care skills required
- Excellent communication with children, families, and staff
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
- Organized and detail-oriented documentation skills
- Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
Physical Requirements & Work Environment- Ability to remain on school premises for scheduled hours
- Ability to assist with student mobility and transfers to and from school and when home
