Occupational Therapist Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Graduate of an accredited school program of Occupational Therapy (OT)- new grads are welcome to apply!
Licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Texas by anticipated start date
Experience in pediatrics and bilingual are a plus but necessarily required
Performs in depth patient evaluation and develops treatment plans and goals as indicated for patients based on their current level of functioning and potential for improvement
Evaluates patients' needs and administers therapy to preserve and improve abilities for independent function, such as range of motion, strength, tolerance, coordination, vision, behavioral management skills, social skills, academics, and activities of daily living.
Implements treatment plan, provides state of the art Occupational Therapy services in accordance with the Plan of Treatment (POT) approved by the physician
Educate and train families about various OT techniques and strategies
Collaborate with the MedCare team to ensure quality care
Open to supervise assistants is a plus but not necessarily required
