Job Title: BHS PE Department Chair (INTERNAL POSTING)

Reports To: Building Administration

Terms of Employment: Maximum 3-year assignment with the option to reapply after the three year

Salary Range: $411.76 (2025-26 stipend)

Qualifications:
  1. Must be a teacher in good standing with the Bettendorf Community School District
  2. Must work in the department and building in which
  3. Ability to collaborate with teachers and administrators
  4. Facilitation, organizational, and management skills.
  5. Demonstrate the actions of a model educator: active collaboration, support of all students and colleagues, use of data to drive instructional decision making, engagement in learning, communication with all stakeholders, and celebration of success.
  6. Such alternatives to the above as the District may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities:

EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated annually by building administrator(s)

Eligibility: Applicants must have valid U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or an active work visa.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
