  • Administer payroll-related deductions, union dues, and employee benefits, responding to employee inquiries as needed.
  • Support audits, reporting, and initiatives for continuous improvement in payroll processes.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and operational leaders for accurate payroll and benefits administration.

Full Job Description
Door Systems ASSA ABLOY is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our team. This position reports directly to the Corporate Controller, Dock Products Canada Inc., with additional alignment and collaboration with our Swedish parent organization, ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems.

The Payroll & Benefits Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate, compliant, and timely administration of payroll and benefits across our Canadian operations. Serving as a key partner to HR, Finance, and regional leadership teams, this individual will support payroll processing, statutory compliance, employee benefits administration, and reporting while maintaining strong internal controls and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly (union and non-union) and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
  • Prepare certified payroll reports, payroll reconciliations, journal entries, and year-end filings, including T4s and other statutory reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, tax regulations, collective agreements, and company policies
  • Administer payroll-related deductions, union dues, and employee benefits, while responding to employee inquiries.
