Full Job Description
Patient Access Manager for our multi-specialty oncology practice. In this role, you'll lead front-end financial operations and drive excellence across Patient Financial Services-ensuring accurate processes, strong team performance, and a positive patient financial experience.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Performance
  • Oversee Benefit Counseling, Insurance Verification, Patient Assistance, and Patient Access teams
  • Ensure accurate insurance verification to prevent denials
  • Audit workflows, production, and establish benchmarks/KPIs
  • Monitor collections of copays, deductibles, and patient balances at time of service
  • Maintain accurate fee schedules and cost-of-care calculations
  • Track physician adjustments and report key metrics to leadership

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors, leads, and staff
  • Train teams and ensure processes are accurate and regularly reviewed
  • Oversee performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions
  • Promote accountability, productivity, and a high-performance culture

Quality & Patient Experience
  • Ensure financial responsibility is communicated clearly and compassionately to patients
  • Support patients by utilizing appropriate financial assistance programs
  • Maintain compliance with billing regulations, policies, and legal requirements
  • Drive a customer-focused approach across all patient interactions

Collaboration & Improvement
  • Partner with Operations and leadership to address uncollectible accounts
  • Improve financial workflows and patient access processes
  • Leverage analytics, dashboards, and audits to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of medical billing experience
