  • Mentor junior pathology staff and facilitate continued education

Job Summary:

HCA Healthcare Pathology Services and their Gulf Coast Division is seeking a Pathology Medical Director to be based at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, TX.

Qualified Candidates:
  • AP/CP certification is required
  • At least three years of hospital-based experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in general surgical pathology, clinical interpretations, and must have recent experience performing frozen sections
  • Subspecialty training is ideal but not required
  • The successful candidate must work cooperatively within diverse environments, have excellent interpersonal skills, and successfully establish and maintain positive relationships with hospital medical staff, technical staff and referring physicians
  • Active Texas Medical License is a plus
