Pay: $125,000 to $147,000/year
What you'll do- Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications.
- Respond to USPTO Office Actions and conduct examiner interviews.
- Perform patentability, freedom to operate, and validity analyses.
- Research emerging technologies and developments in patent law.
- Collaborate with inventors, in house counsel, and foreign associates.
- Participate in client meetings and business development activities.
What you'll need- Registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Undergraduate or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience preparing and prosecuting U.S. patent applications.
- Experience with software, electronics, electromechanical, or image processing technologies.
- Strong legal writing, technical, and communication skills.
