Remote role in the USA

Role Overview

Uncapped lends working capital to e-commerce sellers across the UK, US and Canada. Some of that business comes through partners: credit brokers, affiliates, agencies, software companies and embedded platforms who introduce sellers to us. Brokers are our largest partner group.

We are looking for someone to own that channel completely. You will decide which partners we go after, bring them in, get them referring, and be accountable for the revenue that comes out of it. It is a broad remit and a visible one. The channel's number is reported weekly and you will be the person who explains it.

You will have a proper stack behind you. PartnerStack is the partner system of record, HubSpot is the CRM, Clay handles enrichment and list building, Instantly and HeyReach run outbound, and Customer.io runs lifecycle comms. All of it is live and already connected, so your time goes on partners and programs rather than on setting tools up.

This is a hands-on role. You will do the prospecting, build the campaigns and run the reporting yourself. Marketing will build assets you brief and Analytics will build you reporting you ask for, but nobody is dedicated to this channel. If you want to manage a book of relationships and have someone else own the pipeline, the tools and the numbers, this is not the right job. If you want a channel that is genuinely yours to run, it is.

What will you do

1. Recruitment: bring new partners in

Build and work the pipeline of new brokers, affiliates, agencies and platforms. Source lists in Clay, run sequences through Instantly and HeyReach, take the meetings, agree terms, and get them live in PartnerStack. You are doing your own prospecting.

2. Activation: get them to a first funded deal

Signing a partner is the easy part. Getting them to send a first deal, and then a second, is where most partner programs stall. Own the path from signed agreement to first submission to first funded deal, and set yourself a time limit on it.

3. Top partners management: keep them close and keep them informed

The partners who produce need real attention. Regular contact, honest feedback on what is converting and what is not, quarterly reviews, co-marketing, early sight of new products. A lot of this is teaching. A broker who understands what we lend against and who we lend to will send better deals, not just more of them.

4. The long tail: run it as a program

Most of the base will never justify a monthly call. Those partners still need to hear from us, so build the always-on layer that reaches them: segmented Customer.io journeys, newsletters, product and rate updates, reactivation campaigns, and self-serve material in the partner portal. Decide what good looks like for this group and measure whether the program is working.

5. Deal outcomes: own the channel's number

Our AEs work the deals that partners send. You are still accountable for what happens to them. Chase deals that stall, unblock what is stuck in underwriting, make sure partners hear back, and fix routing when a deal sits with the wrong person. Close the loop with partners on declines and losses so their next submission is better.

6. Partner economics and commission

Commission is a share of the fees we earn, and the rate varies by partner. You will run the payouts, keep attribution accurate, and understand what each partner costs us against what they bring in. Bring us recommendations on which rates should change.

7. Reporting and forecasting

Own the weekly channel report and the forecast: applications, approvals, funded deals and originations, measured against plan. You will be the person who explains the number each week, including in the weeks it is bad.

Requirements

Who you are

Must have

  • 3+ years in partnerships, channel sales, or a similar commercial role. Lending, fintech, payments or e-commerce SaaS is useful background but not essential
  • A track record of building pipeline from scratch and converting it, whether that was partners, direct sales or something else
  • Comfort owning a revenue number and reporting against a plan
  • Working knowledge of a GTM stack. A CRM plus at least one of a PRM, a sequencing tool or a lifecycle marketing platform. You should be happy setting things up yourself rather than raising a request for it

Nice to have

  • PartnerStack, HubSpot, Clay, Instantly, HeyReach or Customer.io specifically
  • SQL, or a habit of building your own reporting rather than waiting for it
  • Having worked on building a channel, rather than inheriting one that already ran
