Job Description:
The Paralegal/Project Manager manages the lifecycle of product liability claims under the guidance of the Chief Legal Officer and Director of Project Management and Analytics. This role leads the end-to-end management of product liability litigation intake, and discovery through trial and appeals, facilitating high-level coordination between internal business partners, legal leadership, external counsel, and vendors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Product Liability Matter Management
Litigation Intake:Manage the intake process for new matters in coordination with external counsel.
Discovery:Execute discovery protocols and manage the process of identifying customers and other third parties to be tendered to.
Litigation Oversight:Enter and Monitor case deadlines, documents, and proceedings across multiple jurisdictions in managing process and output of external counsel.
Data Systems Management:Partnering with the Director of Data Operations, drive Salesforce account data discovery and log info for active cases.
Reporting & Data Analytics:Manage base information tracking for periodic reporting, including case status, exposure periods, and account data. Responsible for being able to provide ad-hoc summaries and reports as needed to leadership.
Documentation Control:Manage and maintain internal documents and materials related to IP matters.
Strategy:Participate in the analysis of existing case data to help define the proper course of action given the information available.
Legal Operations
Strategic Escalation: Identify and escalate priority deadlines or high-risk concerns directly to the Chief Legal Officer.
Special Projects: Lead strategic projects and provide high-level assistance to the Legal Department on an as-needed basis.
Process Management: Identify and participate in the implementation of process improvements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Knowledge of litigation and/or contracting process

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelors degree, Associates degree in Paralegal Studies, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department. Litigation experience is a plus
Systems: Advanced computer technology skills, specifically MS Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Google Suite

Managerial Requirements: N/A
Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally / sparingly (office supplies, packages, samples). May need to bend, reach, walk, or stoop occasionally. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Travel Requirements: Limited travel to other Cambria locations
Cambria’s starting salary range for this position is $82,000 - $110,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
