Full Job Description
What it's about

This is not a traditional paralegal role. We are looking for a passionate colleague with AI/tech experience who is excited about the intersection of law, technology and business and wants to help shape the next generation of investment legal operations in a leading global private markets firm.

As our Paralegal, you will play a dual role:

  1. Traditional paralegal support - providing high-quality legal, operational and administrative support across the investment lifecycle, working with internal and external counsels, investment professionals, and cross-functional stakeholders on complex transactional and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions and asset classes, including Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Private Credit.
  2. AI & tech enablement - critically assessing Investment Legal's workstreams and day-to-day operations, helping to map, design and implement AI, automation and agentic solutions to drive efficiency and quality.

You will join a senior team in a global, fast-paced environment, gaining exposure to senior stakeholders while helping modernize legal ways of working through process discipline and the thoughtful use of legal technology.

Key responsibilities:

  • Traditional Paralegal Support
  • Support the Investment Legal team on a range of topics including investment-related obligations and monitoring portfolio company activities.
  • Closely liaise with external counsel, service providers and internal teams to ensure adherence with investment-related legal processes and procedures.
  • Help manage legal knowledge resources, including internal Investment Legal processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal functions including operations, asset management, leadership and client teams to address legal and transactional needs across portfolio companies.
  • Manage regulatory related operational matters, including documentation, service provider coordination and compliance tracking.
  • Provide support on ad hoc legal, regulatory and transactional projects as needed.
  • AI & Technology Enablement
  • Help develop and pilot use cases for legal AI tools (e.g., contract review, knowledge management, obligation tracking, drafting assistance, summarization, due diligence support).
  • Support the design, build and rollout of bespoke AI agents and automated workflows tailored to Investment Legal's needs.
  • Lead and support team training and adoption initiatives to embed new tools and ways of working across the team.
  • Partner with internal technology, data and innovation teams to evaluate and implement fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Track impact, share learnings, and continuously iterate on the enablement roadmap.

What we expect

Paralegal & Professional Skills:

  • Prior paralegal, legal operations, legal tech or relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality work under time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and confidence collaborating with diverse stakeholders across functions, seniority levels and geographies.
  • Solid understanding of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong discipline in document management, process execution and obligation tracking.
  • Sound judgment in identifying, managing and appropriately escalating legal, regulatory and operational risks.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment, with a high degree of ownership, accountability and professionalism.

Tech & AI Skills:

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with, or strong demonstrable interest in, legal technology and AI-enabled tools (e.g., contract lifecycle management, document automation, generative AI assistants, agentic workflows, no-code/low-code platforms)
  • Ability to translate operational pain points into structured use cases, requirements and process maps
  • Comfort with experimentation, prototyping and iterative delivery
  • Experience contributing to training, enablement or change management initiatives is a plus
