Job DescriptionPackaging Engineer (Bothell, WA)As a Packaging Engineer, you will manage Oral Healthcare packaging execution projects with the Philips Project Management Team, internal marketing, purchasing, System Engineers/Quality and suppliers. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams to prioritize workloads based on business needs to ensure successful timely launches, excellent documentation, while adhering to excellence in quality, sustainability, and compliance standards.
Your role:- Develop structural packaging concepts and designs appropriate for each project based on Philips Platform and Marketing inputs.
- Ensure packaging designs are optimized for manufacturing, assembly, quality and cost requirements. Oversee packaging design process, ensuring designs meet Philips requirements for customer attractiveness, structural quality and sustainability.
- Create specifications for packaging designs including pulp trays, folding cartons, corrugated boxes and pallet layouts. Coordinate packaging testing with System Engineers and Product Quality Engineers per international shipping standards.
- Determine logistics parameters for new packaging structures (e.g. weights, dims, material content).
- Provide inputs to other functions for maintaining packaging sustainability and substance compliance. As needed, work with external suppliers to develop packaging structures that meet project requirements.
- Conduct and create in-depth documentation for packaging design reviews per project milestones.
You're the right fit if: - You've acquired 3+ years of experience in Design and/or manufacturing of Paperboard and corrugate structures, thermoformed blister, pulp trays, flexible plastic/paper bags
- You have a working knowledge and experience of: ArtiosCAD, CAPE Pack, Adobe Illustrator, Solidworks/CREO
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, OR equivalent combination of education and above listed experience
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
How we work togetherWe believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Philips Transparency Details The pay range for this position in Washington is $103,000 to $177,000
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
