Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current New York State PA or NP license required.
• National board certification necessary.
• DEA registration or eligibility prior to start date required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and follow-up visits in the outpatient setting.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with various pulmonary conditions such as asthma and COPD.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab studies and imaging.
• Manage medications and treatment plans effectively.
• Complete prior authorizations and medication management activities, particularly for biologic therapies.
• Provide patient education on disease management and medications.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and office staff to ensure continuity of care.
