The
Overnight Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the education and counseling of patients and filling of patient prescriptions. In addition, the Staff Pharmacist is responsible for training and managing staff pharmacy technicians and volunteer pharmacists, ensuring policies and protocols are followed in the absence of the Medical Director of Pharmacy and Supervising Pharmacist.
As part of the essential functions of this role, the
Overnight Staff Pharmacist:- Fills patient prescriptions and answers provider questions.
- Provides counseling on both prescription medications and over-the-counter medications in accordance to APhA guidelines
- Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers
- Participates in quality improvement programs
- Assists in medication ordering and maintenance of appropriate inventory controls within the pharmacy
Qualified candidate will have a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), a current and valid NYS Pharmacy license; community pharmacy experience preferred; awareness of and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations is essential
Job type: Full-time; Mon-Thursday 10pm-8am, non-operating hours
