Full Job Description
Middlesex Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join our expanding Adult Outpatient Mental Health Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a nationally recognized, award-winning community health system committed to delivering exceptional behavioral healthcare in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Position Highlights

This full-time, 40-hour outpatient Psychiatrist position offers the opportunity to build a rewarding practice while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychiatric APRNs, therapists, social workers, nurses, and support staff.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for adult patients in an outpatient setting
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate closely with therapists and other members of the care team
  • Support continuity of care across the mental health services continuum, including transitions from inpatient, emergency, crisis, and intensive outpatient services
  • Practice in a collegial environment that values physician input, clinical excellence, and innovation
  • Enjoy a predictable outpatient schedule with minimal call responsibilities
  • Academic and teaching opportunities, including Middlesex Family Medicine Residents and medical students from Yale/The University of Connecticut
