Position Summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered Clinical Psychologist to join our brand-new North Cobb Clinic location. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish behavioral health services in a modern outpatient setting while making a meaningful impact on the mental and emotional well-being of the community.

The Clinical Psychologist will provide evidence-based psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and/or families depending on specialty area. The ideal candidate is collaborative, innovative, and passionate about integrated care within a growing healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Provide individual, group, family, and/or couples therapy as appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with primary care providers, psychiatrists, care managers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Participate in care coordination, case consultation, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support the launch and growth of behavioral health programming within the new clinic.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments when needed.
  • Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and wellness practices.
Qualifications
Required
  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure or license eligibility as a Psychologist in the State of Georgia.
  • Experience providing psychotherapy and psychological assessments.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred
  • Experience in integrated behavioral health or outpatient medical settings.
  • Specialization in anxiety, depression, trauma, health psychology, or family systems.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations across the lifespan.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
