DescriptionOrthoSC is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our Orthopedic Urgent Care team. This is a strictly office-based role designed for providers who enjoy fast-paced orthopedic care without the demands of call or operating room responsibilities.
Position Highlights- Orthopedic Urgent Care setting
- 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend requirement:
Saturday & Sunday, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM - No call
- No operating room time
- 100% clinic-based care
Responsibilities- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute orthopedic injuries and conditions
- Perform orthopedic-focused exams and procedures (splinting, casting, joint injections, etc.)
- Order and interpret imaging and diagnostic tests
- Collaborate closely with orthopedic physicians and clinical staff
- Provide patient education and clear follow-up instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current PA licensure (or eligibility) in the state
- Orthopedic or urgent care experience preferred (new grads with strong orthopedic interest encouraged to apply)
- Strong clinical judgment, efficiency, and patient communication skills
- Team-oriented with a commitment to high-quality patient care
