SAMGI is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Orthopedic Trauma service at St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho. This full-time opportunity combines 100% orthopedic trauma and acute care surgery with meaningful operative experience, a dedicated follow-up clinic, and the support of an experienced orthopedic trauma team.
Join an established team of fellowship-trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeons and experienced APPs.
- Practice in a busy Level III Trauma Center serving a large regional referral area throughout south-central Idaho.
- Care for a broad spectrum of orthopedic trauma including:
- Pelvic and acetabular fractures
- Upper and lower extremity fractures
- Bread-and-butter hand injuries
- Routine pediatric fractures
- Enjoy a true blend of emergency orthopedic trauma with a limited elective and follow-up component.
- Focus on patient care while SAMGI provides operational, scheduling, and administrative support.
Schedule- 175 ten-hour shifts annually
- Daily schedule: 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Predictable full-time schedule designed to promote work-life balance.
- Additional shifts available based on program needs.
What You'll Do- Evaluate and manage orthopedic trauma patients in the emergency department and inpatient setting.
- Round daily on hospitalized orthopedic trauma patients.
- First assist orthopedic trauma surgeons in the operating room.
- Perform postoperative care, fracture management, splinting, casting, dressing changes, and other procedures within scope of practice.
- Participate in a dedicated orthopedic trauma follow-up clinic.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care with emergency medicine, trauma surgery, nursing, rehabilitation, and case management.
- Educate patients and families regarding injury recovery and treatment plans.
What You Bring to the Team- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current or eligible Idaho PA or NP license.
- NCCPA certification (PA) or national NP certification.
- Orthopedic trauma or surgical experience preferred.
- New graduates with a strong interest in orthopedic surgery are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care.
- Eligible for hospital credentialing and privileges.

Compensation & Benefits- $130,000 annual salary
- 175 ten-hour shifts annually
- Additional shifts compensated quarterly at $742.85 per 10-hour shift
