WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORSlate is looking for an energetic and organized
Order and Delivery Operations Manager to join our growing team.
As an Order and Delivery Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Order and Delivery Operations Analyst that support the vehicle order management and fulfillment process.
You will work cross functionally with Sales (Consumer and Fleet), Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SI&OP), and Manufacturing to allocate vehicles coming out of production and into our distribution channels. You will further allocate vehicles to appropriate delivery hubs to meet our consumer and fleet needs. As vehicles are allocated to a fleet delivery hub, you will release associated transfer orders to move accessories needed for up-fitment to the vehicle prior to delivery, while providing our upfit partner with all necessary information for up-fitment. For consumer vehicles, you will monitor the transfer of accessories to delivery hubs based on individual consumer orders. Finally, you will work with our delivery partners on parts orders for any issues found with the vehicle post-transportation or Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI).
WHAT YOU GET TO DO- Manage a team of Order and Delivery Operations Analysts to manage vehicle allocation and the vehicle fulfillment operations process.
- Develop and drive continuous improvement to the vehicle allocation process, along with the delivery operation processes required to deliver accessorized vehicles to our customers.
- Collaborate with Sales, Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SI&OP), and Manufacturing to allocate vehicles across the two business units (Consumer and Fleet).
- Collaborate with Slate Delivery Partners to allocate vehicles to individual delivery hubs based on capacity and capability of each hub.
- Place and monitor Transfer Orders (TOs - internal inventory movement orders) of accessories from our Warehouse (3PL) to individual delivery hubs based on accessorization and up-fitment needs of customer orders.
- Work with Slate Delivery Partners on placing TOs for service parts necessary to repair issues found with vehicles prior to customer delivery through transportation and/or Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI).
- Monitor accessory inventory levels to ensure alignment with sales forecasts and to drive appropriate operational planning.
- Develop, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to SI&OP, including but not limited to, Vehicle Dwell Time at Manufacturing Yard, Vehicle Dwell Time at Delivery Hubs, and Vehicle On-Time Delivery Rate.
- Drive a continuous improvement mindset within Order Management, focusing on allocation processes, Transfer Order processes, and overall process efficiencies.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Finance, Data Analytics or equivalent is preferred. While a degree is preferred, we value hands-on experience and a proven track record of success as a suitable substitute and encourage candidates to apply who can demonstrate relevant and commensurate professional experience.
- 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management, preferably working within Order Management..
- 2 + years of previous manager experience in a Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management role is required.
- Strong analytical skills, with sufficient understanding of data interpretation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or other data analysis tools, such as SmartSheets, Tableau, Alteryx, or other scripting tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an understanding of how to present complex data in easily understood ways to multiple levels with the business.
- Strong problem solving capabilities, with attention to detail.
- Comfortable in start-up environments. You can roll up your sleeves to do the work and build, or recommend the tools needed to be successful as the company grows.
- A proactive, "one company" teammate with a continuous improvement approach, equally comfortable with warehousing practices, material management, business planning, and financial implications.
- Capability to work cross-functionally with external partners and internal teams, building strong relationships that produce positive results.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Must have the ability to travel (up to 10%).
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
- Must have the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
SALARY RANGEThe compensation for this position is the range Slate reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; work location; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Annual Base Pay Range: $123,339 to $185,009 USD
