Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (scrub and/or circulating).
• Current RN license (state or compact).
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• OR experience in a fast-paced, multi-specialty environment (preferred).
• Strong critical-thinking skills to manage high-acuity surgical workflows (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform preoperative assessments and provide patient/family education.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including IV initiation and medication administration.
• Participate in perioperative safety processes, including briefings and time-outs.
• Circulate or scrub into surgical procedures, managing sterile fields and workflow.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies with critical thinking skills.
• Deliver high-quality intraoperative nursing care using evidence-based practice.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and interventions.
• Provide postoperative instructions to support safe transitions of care.
