Anticipated Duration: 6 - 12 months (could extend longer as needed)
Position Summary:We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented
California State Grants Specialist with a minimum of
2 years of experience working with California state funding programs. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of school facility regulations and a demonstrated ability to manage the grant application and reporting process from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:op- Research and interpret California State regulations related to school facility funding.
- Identify and evaluate available funding opportunities.
- Prepare and submit accurate grant applications and all related documentation.
- Prepare and/or support preparation of expense reports for auditors.
- Collaborate with internal teams, attorneys, CPAs, and administrative agencies to gather required information.
- Maintain organized records of all grant-related materials.
- Work with IT staff to define data requirements and support grant tracking systems.
- Communicate clearly and effectively across departments to ensure compliance with funding guidelines.
- Understanding of Peoplesoft, Unifier, and similar software systems is ideal.
- Familiarity with OPSC and CDE online systems.
- Knowledge of eligibility establishment and update.
- Analyze problems and propose solutions related to funding and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:- Minimum 2 years of experience with California state funding programs.
- Deep understanding of school facility program regulations and public construction requirements.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Mircosoft Excel and data spreadsheet experience
Compensation & BenefitsThe annual salary range offered for this position is $85K-125K. Actual pay offered will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
