Job Description Position Summary:Reporting to the Operations Manager the Supervisor directly oversees the safety, quality, productivity production performance, team performance, and is engaged in the coordination of work of the employees who work in production and operations for the areas.
Ensuring productivity/dock goals are met on a daily/weekly/quarterly/annual basis while complying with safety, quality, company, and engineering policies, regulations and specifications. Responsible for team engagement, appraising performance, hiring and training employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems, productivity, planning and scheduling coordination, output and production. Will partner with other departments to ensure clear communication of productivity goals, and daily reporting and participation in necessary meetings.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities: - Sets the standard for working safely and following all safety policies, leading by example and driving accountability through actions.
- With department leads champions the 6S program for the department, evaluating 6S weekly, identifying improvement projects, and participating in events.
- Responsible for identifying and providing all required training for production employees and providing proper support documentation.
- Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
- Recommend or execute personnel actions, such as hiring, evaluations, and promotions.
- Clearly communicate and partner with necessary leadership to resolve personnel problems, complaints, or grievances.
- Plans and directs production activities and establish priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
- Establishes, plans, and revises production schedules, assignments, and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems.
- Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of resources, machines, and equipment.
- Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
- Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
- Review variable costs, productivity, earned standard hours and throughput daily and implement effective corrective actions when targets are not achieved.
- Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
- Determine standards, budgets, production goals, and rates, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads.
- Calculate labor and equipment requirements and production specifications, using standard formulas.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
- Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
- When necessary, inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.

Required Experience:- 2 years of Supervisory experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, leading teams of 20+ people
- Experience in aerospace/fastener/metals manufacturing industries, with strong knowledge of fastener materials preferred.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience with machining processes and special metal processing such as heat treating, paint, dry lube, and chemical plating
- Experience in supporting NADCAP audits
Level of Education:- BS in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or similar is highly preferred.
For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $95000 to $110000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
