About this Role
Quanta Services is seeking an Operations Manager, Supply Chain to support the planning, coordination, and execution of supply chain operations across assigned projects, operating companies, or functional areas. This role is responsible for driving efficiency across procurement, vendor management, inventory, and logistics functions while partnering closely with project teams, finance, and operational leadership to ensure materials and resources are available when and where they are needed. The Operations Manager, Supply Chain brings strong organizational and leadership capabilities, a data-driven approach to decision-making, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, field-driven environment.
What You'll Do
Supply Chain Coordination & Execution
- Manage day-to-day supply chain operations including procurement coordination, material sourcing, inventory management, and logistics support across assigned areas;
- Develop and maintain project-level supply plans, ensuring materials and resources are procured and delivered on time to support project schedules and budget targets;
- Track supply chain performance metrics and implement corrective actions to address gaps in delivery, quality, or cost; and
- Support the development and execution of supply chain strategies aligned with operational and project objectives.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Identify, evaluate, and manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing to ensure cost efficiency, product relevance, and reliable service delivery;
- Monitor vendor performance against established expectations and drive accountability through regular performance reviews; and
- Coordinate with procurement teams to consolidate spend, leverage preferred vendor agreements, and ensure compliance with company purchasing standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with project managers, field leadership, finance, and operations teams to align supply chain activities with project timelines and business objectives;
- Define project scope and resource requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams, tracking progress and communicating status to stakeholders; and
- Serve as a key point of contact for supply chain-related issues, coordinating resolution across internal teams and external partners.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Identify opportunities to streamline supply chain processes, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency;
- Develop and maintain reporting on procurement activity, vendor spend, inventory levels, and supply chain performance;
- Apply data analytics and emerging market trends to inform sourcing strategies and supply chain decisions; and
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and mentor supply chain and operations staff, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance;
- Bridge the gap between operational teams and supply chain functions, ensuring clear communication and alignment on priorities; and
- Manage team workload, resource allocation, and performance in support of departmental goals.
What You'll Bring
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field; equivalent work experience or a combination of work and education may be substituted;
- 5 or more years of progressive experience in operations management, supply chain, project coordination, or a related field;
- Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts;
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to stakeholders at multiple levels; and
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM, ERP, or procurement platforms.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics operations within a construction, utility, energy, or infrastructure environment preferred;
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, purchasing workflows, or supply chain analytics tools preferred;
- Experience developing and executing strategic sourcing or go-to-market strategies preferred; and
- APICS CSCP, CPIM, or equivalent supply chain certification a plus.
