Operations Manager - Production & Installation to lead our shop, manufacturing, and field installation operations.
This is a key leadership role responsible for turning sold projects into efficiently manufactured, professionally installed, and successfully completed jobs. We need a leader who can
develop people, create accountability, improve processes, and drive results.This is not a desk-only position. You'll be expected to lead from the shop floor, the field, and the management table.
What You'll Own- Lead daily production, shop, and installation operations
- Manage scheduling, capacity, workflow, staffing, and labor efficiency
- Lead, coach, develop, and hold production and installation teams accountable
- Ensure projects are manufactured accurately and installed professionally and on schedule
- Drive quality while reducing rework, services, material waste, and downtime
- Establish and monitor operational KPIs and performance standards
- Identify bottlenecks and implement practical process improvements
- Maintain a clean, organized, efficient, and safe production environment
- Ensure OSHA compliance and adherence to company safety policies in both shop and field operations
- Lead safety training, documentation, incident follow-up, and corrective actions
- Oversee company vehicles, tools, and equipment, including preventive maintenance, condition, cleanliness, repairs, and materiel accountability
- Coordinate material flow, inventory needs, and purchasing requirements
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and workforce planning
- Work closely with Sales, Design, Customer Service, Purchasing, and company leadership
What We're Looking For- 5+ years of operations leadership in manufacturing, construction, installation, cabinetry, millwork, or a related environment
- Proven ability to lead teams, establish standards, and hold people accountable
- Strong scheduling, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing productivity, quality, labor, and operational KPIs
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and demonstrated experience managing workplace safety and compliance
- Comfortable managing both manufacturing/shop and field operations
- Strong sense of ownership with the ability to identify problems and implement solutions
- CNC, cabinetry, custom manufacturing, fleet, or installation experience is a plus
- Prior military service or military leadership experience is a plus
Compensation$80,000-$95,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus an annual performance incentive opportunity of up to 10%-15%.Performance incentives may be based on Service Call Rate, Project Readiness Rate, Labor Efficiency, Process TAKT/Productivity, $ Installed per Van Day, OSHA Compliance, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Asset Management, and Overall Company Performance, to name a few.
