Salary is $87,500.00 plus bonus potential.

Summary

Directs the activities of the Denver Distribution Center by performing the following duties personally or through the Warehouse. Transportation Supervisors, Warehouse Workers and Delivery Drivers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Establishes and oversees all DC processes for inbound and outbound inventory, the handling and disposition of materials, keeping inventory current and accurate.

Establishes and oversees the standard for proper order picking, loading, and the delivery of products to customers. Ensures minimal product damage, safety, inventory control, and a high level of customer satisfaction and service.

Inspects physical condition of the DC and all equipment periodically. Coordinates and supervises the maintenance and repair of buildings, DC equipment and grounds.

Researches and recommends new equipment purchases for the DC.

Oversees routing and legal load limits of trucks, according to established delivery times, customer expectations, and weight limits of state.

Resolves customer and operational issues and ensures customer satisfaction levels are at the highest level possible.

Coordinates with the Sales Department to establish special and holiday delivery routes.

Confers with other department heads to ensure coordination of DC activities with activities and functions of other departments.

Participates in periodic meetings - Sales Support, Sales Management, Company Management, etc.

Directs salvage of damaged or used materials.

Sets safety standards for all equipment usage in accordance with OSHA and company standards and policies.

Ensures facility meets cleanliness and order standards of management.

Research discrepancies in inventory and stock control records; recommends actions to resolve discrepancies.

Monitors, implements, and manages safety and security procedures and programs for personnel and facilities.

Leads the Location Safety Team.

Interviews, hires, trains, disciplines, and evaluates the performance of DC teammates.

Trains teammates in proper use for forklifts and other equipment.

Approves time worked and time off for all DC teammates.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages the Warehouse Supervisor who supervises the Warehouse Workers in the Distribution Center. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises all Delivery Drivers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Crystal reports, Microsoft Great Plains Business Management software, Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet, and Microsoft Word Processing software.
