OPERATIONS MANAGER CEMETERY & PARKS DIVISION DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS SEIU UNION GRADE 15 Hourly Starting Rate Range: $42.8260 - $46.0418 Salary Range Exceeds Hiring Range The Operations Manager is responsible for the administration, coordination, and supervision of the Town's Parks & Cemeteries Division. Will Oversee the planning, scheduling and execution of maintenance, repair, construction, groundskeeping, and cemetery operations. Also supervises staff and contractors, manages public and customer service activities, maintains cemetery records and financial transactions and supports the implementation and management of operational systems and technology. Responsible for maintaining and improving the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of division services while ensuring the proper care and stewardship of Town parks, cemeteries, and related facilities. Performs all other related work as required. COMPLETE JOB DESCRIPTION AVAIL UPON REQUEST FROM HUMAN RESOURCES Associate's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Parks and Recreation Management, Cemetery Administration, Construction Management, or a related field; and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in operations management, cemetery administration, public works, facilities management, grounds maintenance, or a related field, including at least three (3) years of supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Must possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts Class D Driver's License. Must possess a Massachusetts Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certificate or obtain such certification within one (1) year of appointment and maintain certification throughout employment. This position is covered under a collective bargaining agreement with the SEIU and qualifies for the Town's comprehensive benefits package, working 40 hours weekly.
