Responsibilities

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversees and coordinates the business operations of the areas as assigned to ensure high-quality health care services and excellent customer service.
• Identifies and recommends opportunities for business development in the community; implements and coordinates plans for growth and expansion.
• Insures the operations are in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and with the policies and procedures of the Queen's Medical Center (QMC).
• Establishes and achieves goals and objectives consistent with the Medical Center's mission, short and long range plans.
• Work involves operations at different sites; may be assigned to other area(s) of responsibility.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Continuous: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
• Frequent: walking.
• Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.
• Operates computer, calculator, telephone, fax, and printer.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Work includes traveling to different clinical sites.
• Frequently works on multiple tasks and priorities at any given time

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or healthcare.
• Knowledge of business principles, including, business planning, budgeting, financial analysis.
• Knowledge of clinical and financial systems and management information systems.
• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement regulatory requirements.

B. EXPERIENCE:
• Three (3) years progressively responsible experience in business operations in the healthcare industry.
• One (1) years lead/supervisory/management experience in healthcare, preferably in a comparable role.
