Job DescriptionHow You Will Make an Impact:As a member of the Operations Finance team, you will partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other Operations teams within the Niche Diagnostics business unit. You will use financial data and analysis to help these teams understand factory performance, manage costs, and identify opportunities to improve financial results.
In this role, you will develop your knowledge of manufacturing finance while supporting areas such as standard costs, inventory, labor and material costs, production performance, and manufacturing variances. You will prepare and analyze spending and cost reports, explain key drivers of financial performance, and work with Finance and Operations colleagues to support achievement of business targets.

What You Will Do:- Support budgeting, forecasting, Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, and long-term financial planning, with a focus on revenue, margin, and operational performance.
- Support and coordinate monthly close activities related to manufacturing, including inventory, cost of goods sold, manufacturing variances, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Analyze manufacturing cost variances, including purchase price, material usage, labor, overhead, scrap, and yield. Work with Operations and Finance partners to understand the causes of variances and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support accurate inventory valuation and coordinate cycle counts and fixed asset counts.
- Review and validate financial savings from Practical Process Improvement (PPI), sourcing, and labor-efficiency initiatives.
- Partner with colleagues across Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management, and other functions to provide financial analysis, modeling, and recommendations that support business objectives.
- Prepare return-on-investment analyses, financial scenarios, and models to support business decisions and investment opportunities.
- Provide timely, accurate, and useful financial reporting and analysis to Finance and business partners.
- Support improvements to financial data, reporting, and systems that help teams make informed decisions.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and automate financial processes and improve the quality and efficiency of reporting and analysis.
- Build collaborative relationships with the Clinical Diagnostics Division FP&A and Systems teams to support consistent and accurate financial reporting.
- Support special projects and perform ad-hoc financial analysis as business needs arise.

- Maintain strong internal controls and support compliance with SOX, Corporate policies, and applicable requirements.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, accounting, FP&A, or a related finance role.
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Basic understanding of, or interest in developing knowledge of, of inventory accounting, absorption costing, and variance analysis.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to organize, analyze, and summarize financial data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different functions and geographic locations.
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to identify and improve inefficient processes.
Preferred QualificationsThe following experience is helpful but not required. Candidates are not expected to have experience with every system or technology listed below.
- Experience with financial planning, reporting, ERP, or consolidation systems such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion/Essbase, or similar platforms.
- Experience with data visualization or business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with databases, SQL, or other tools used to organize and analyze large data sets.
- Experience with Microsoft automation tools or other workflow/process automation technologies.
- Experience using AI tools appropriately to improve financial analysis, reporting, or process efficiency.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, or financial business partnering.
- Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls or working in a regulated business environment.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, including Practical Process Improvement (PPI), is a plus.

Travel requirements - Less than 5% domestic/international travel
Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in California is $90,900.00-$121,000.00.
