Operational Readiness Manager

The Operational Readiness Manager is responsible for leading global, regional, and functional operational readiness change and integration focused on recent acquisitions, while ensuring a common approach to commercial, packaging and pricing processes across the enterprise with a focus on simplification. Other responsibilities include leading the operational systems readiness (SKU creation, pricing tables, automated billing, and contracting compliance) for product divestitures and acquisitions. The successful candidate will establish guidelines and processes enabled within TR’s system infrastructure to ensure strategic packaging and pricing configurations are seamlessly translated into TR's billing, ordering and technology systems (SAO/Salesforce/CPQ) with zero operational disruption to the order-to-cash cycle.

This role requires close collaboration with product, segment partners, product marketing, customer to cash, sales, marketing, technology, and finance areas. The successful candidate is required to react with speed and agility in our ever-evolving world and manage changing timelines, multiple priorities, deliverables, and uncertainty. Strong commercial thought leadership, business partnership, problem solving skills, and the capability to influence while building effective relationships across geographically disbursed teams is critical. This position resides in Revenue Operations & Management organization and reports to the Director of Commercial Transformation and Operations.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Operational Readiness Manager, you will:

  • Define and execute commercial, packaging, and pricing models and strategies, reviewing alignment to current TR Tech Stack with gaps and synergies documented

  • Map out short-term and long-term operational workflow including contracting, ordering, entitlement, billing, royalties, etc, addressing documented gaps and driving prioritization of operational activities

  • Assist with product/pricing model determination with focus on revenue optimization

  • Possess TR subject matter expertise on preferred commercial models and alignment within tech stack capabilities

  • Drive simplification and standardization mindset

  • Determine relevant stakeholders to involve in the end-to-end operational flow conversations

  • Work with team to determine if technology development will be required to support proposed operational model

  • Lead conversations in regards to existing customers - if/when to migrate to TR tech stack, if/when to migrate to product/pricing model, if/when to migrate to TR contracts, etc.

  • Document Operational Readiness action items and hold team accountable to deliverables and timelines

About You

You're a fit for the role of Operational Readiness Manager if your background includes:

  • BA/BS degree required; advanced degree highly desirable

  • 5+ years of experience in Lead-to-Cash, Order-to-Cash (OTC), or Quote-to-Cash (QTC) systems implementation and process design

  • Direct, hands-on experience working with Salesforce CPQ and SAP billing/ordering infrastructure

  • Demonstrated experience mapping complex system workflows, database integrations, and legacy platform migrations

  • Strong knowledge of commercial constructs, pricing methodologies, and packaging best practices

  • Strong project management skills related to planning and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously from the initial ideation through to completion, adhering to specified timelines and budget

  • Proven leadership of results-oriented virtual teams – requiring strong interpersonal skills and team player mindset, partnering with others to develop solutions

  • Ability to deploy influencing techniques to drive cross-functional alignment and change across broad audience

  • Strong communication and exceptional stakeholder management capabilities

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment of change, with strong organizational and time management skills

  • Proficient in use of MS Office Suite

  • Knowledge of Order Capture, SAP and Business Objects familiarity is highly preferred

  • Knowledge of the TR products and customer landscape a plus

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $100,100 USD - $185,900 USD. For Ontario, Canada, the base compensation range for this role is $108,000 CAD - $158,000 CAD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
