A Snapshot of Your Day

Imagine starting your day as an Operational Procurement Manager in a vibrant product manufacturing environment! You will kick off by reviewing inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier delivery schedules to proactively identify potential issues or delays. By evaluating production needs, you will help avoid material shortages and coordinate updates on material lead times while monitoring safety stock levels to ensure uninterrupted operations. Collaborating closely with internal teams like production and logistics, you will address procurement needs and streamline workflows. Throughout the day, you will analyze procurement data to monitor supplier performance and manage inventory replenishment, all while implementing procurement strategies that align with our business objectives to ensure cost efficiency and supply continuity.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Lead the operational procurement team to ensure timely sourcing and delivery of all components, aligned with production schedules and demand.
• Collaborate closely with the group to address challenges, update material schedules, and ensure MRP systems accurately reflect forecasts and product demand.
• Partner with cross-functional teams locally and globally to drive innovation and enhance efficiency in supply chain operations.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to guarantee on-time deliveries that meet customer requirements and expectations.
• Foster professional and consistent supplier relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and alignment with business objectives.
• Design and implement creative, innovative processes for material planning and procurement to optimize performance and drive continuous improvement.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 5 years of experience handling an SCM team, with 3-5 years in an engineering or supply chain environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of operational buying principles.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and materials management.
• Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
• Analytical with strong problem-solving abilities and results-oriented, capable of planning and delivering against project deadlines.
• Experience in the Energy Products industry, particularly knowledge of circuit breaker products, is a plus.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
