Planning & Delivery introduction

Planning & Delivery (P&D) supports ASML's growth trajectory, resolving challenges caused by strong growth in volume and complexity in our systems.

Within ASML, Planning & Delivery is an unbiased party, balancing demand and requests from customers against a stretched, however realistic view on our capability while also facilitating all good flows in a compliant and cost-effective way. This is done transparently and in close collaboration with all internal P&D interfaces, including all ASML factories worldwide.

The Delivery team oversees replenishment (inbound), order management and fulfillment and returnable packaging supply chain logistics

This role of Operational Planner (packaging) sits in the Delivery team.

Purpose of the Job

The purpose of this role will be to ensure that all returnable packaging goods within the ASML Wilton network are tracked utilizing our internal tools and are available at the right time and in the right place to support factory and service requirements, in a compliant, timely and cost effective manner. Ultimately meeting our Stakeholders and suppliers needs and agreed upon SLA's. Establishing metrics to that will support pool size analytics to review pool size, demand from various business entities, evaluate supply chain performance vs expected cycle times and then make recommendations for changes / purchases.

You will manage the operational and administrative performance of the Return for Reuse tool through it's pilot program and on into day to day operations, overseeing the pool of returnable packaging for Wilton Factory, joining a team or 5.

Pool management extends globally from suppliers, through manufacturing to customer locations.

Role and responsibilities
  • Pool management - development and adoption of analytical and operational tools to evaluate and track movements and Cycle time performance
  • Track actuals vs forecast
  • Development of daily / weekly & monthly KPI's for the packaging team related to Return for Reuse program
  • Administrative management of all packaging including registration and tracking ensuring all assets are tagged and recorded •
  • Support Calculation of optimal pool size - resulting in business recommendations for changes to pool size ie process improvement changes that impact cycle time
  • Conducting bi annual and spot stock counts to ensure inventory validity - check of pool size
  • Tracking the timing of the physical arrival of 12NC's (SKU's)
  • Pool management activities across suppliers, 3pl and other stakeholders
  • Evaluation of repair parts inventories, to include recommendations of stock strategies balancing capital requirements vs backlog of repair activities


Education and experience
  • Bachelors is required
  • Minimum 2 years of planning experience or supply chain management experience
  • SAP, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word a plus.
  • High level of competence in spreadsheet and spreadsheet capabilities
